Born in the vibrant Xita district of Shenyang, a major city in northeastern China known for its Korean cultural heritage, our brand is inspired by the rich barbecue tradition of the Cháoxiǎn Zú, the Korean ethnic community of northeastern China.

Founded over 20 years ago, Mama Xita began as a humble street-side concept and quickly evolved into a beloved local favorite, known for its commitment to quality ingredients, bold marinades, and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Today, Chubby Group brings this legacy to the United States, elevating the experience with premium Wagyu and a refined approach to Chinese Korean–style barbecue.
